Apple Store down ahead of iPad announcement

As is customary when Apple has a big event planned, the online Apple Store is now sporting the ever familiar "We'll be back soon" Post-It note. The company usually closes down their store ahead of product launches in order to update their products, and today seems no different.

Apple had previously invited members of the press to an iPad event scheduled for today the 7th of March, and the 1:00 EST launch is only a couple hours away. As usual, Apple maintains the utmost secrecy with regards to their newest products, but word is that we should be seeing the next-generation iPad along with the possibility of a new Apple TV device.

As far iPad 3 rumors go, it's been widely speculated that the tablet will be sporting an A5X processor along with a high-resolution display and maybe even a smaller iteration.
