Looking for that ultimate affordable Android tablet? You have to wait for just 11 days more if you are in UK. Engadget reports of a very affordable but specs-heavy tablet called AndyPad. The 7” tablet comes in two variants – AndyPad and AndyPad Pro.
The AndyPad sports a 7” ResiTouch screen along with the powerful 1.2GHz A8, a yet unrevealed GPU that promises powerful 3D graphics in action (which is correct to a good extent, as you can see from the video below by Engadget), 1080p external display with HDMI out, Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread and Wi-Fi. There are also 8GB of internal storage and a front camera. The AndyPad will cost 129 pounds (equivalent of $212.6).
In comparison, the AndyPad Pro has double the internal memory an improved SensaTouch high resolution 1024 x 600 pixels screen. Bluetooth will be a bonus feature. Rests of the features are similar to that of the AndyPad. This will set you back by 179 pounds which is equivalent to 295 US dollars.
Apart from the above specifications you get a few pre-installed apps with both the models, a number of them being games like Bubble Blast II, Drag racing, Glow hockey etc. Other pre-installed apps include Twitter, Facebook, Tune In etc.
