Amazon offers $50 credit to App developers

Teaser
Devs who submit their application to the Amazon store can receive $50 credit towards Web Services

The last time a company offered $50 in credit their tablet ended up on the scrap heap, but Amazon is hoping that their fortunes fare a bit better.

With the company's much anticipated Android tablet launching soon, the company is looking to bolster their app catalogue by offering incentives to app developers out there. Starting from September 7th and up to the 15th of November, any Android apps submitted to the Amazon App store will earn their developer $50 in credit to Amazon’s Web Services (AWS), on top of any royalties earned. Though the 50 bucks might not mean much, the AWS includes developmental services that will surely prove useful to developers, and the included S3 storage is surely nice to have.

Amazon’s upcoming tablet reportedly forgoes Google’s Android market in favor of the company’s own App Store, and bolstering the amount and quality of the available apps can only benefit Amazon. Of course, the $50 credit ends up right back in Amazon's pocket, and the company doesn't have much to lose from this offer.
