ALCATEL ONETOUCH introduces the POP 2 family

• The POP 2 family comes in five panel sizes, with five colourful covers in the box, offering quality and variety for entry-level LTE smartphones

IFA, Berlin, SEPTEMBER 5 – ALCATEL ONETOUCH today introduced the POP 2 family, which comes in a variety of sizes, colours and with rich multimedia functions, demonstrating its commitment to democratising the LTE market by introducing the richest product portfolio in entry-level smartphones.

POP 2: LTE made for all

Powered by the new generation of Qualcomm LTE processor, the POP 2 delivers ultra-fast streaming, browsing and multitasking. What’s more, the POP 2 is also equipped with advanced features like a download booster: using two network connections – 4G LTE and Wi-Fi — enables an unparalleled download speed.

In addition, it offers such useful features as one-finger zoom, a mini-apps application that allows use of the phone’s applications without even launching them, plus a feature that reads QR codes, using the camera function, and Wi-Fi display, which lets users send images from their phone to a larger screen.

The POP 8S: LTE connectivity at a smart price

The POP 2 family also includes an 8-inch tablet, the POP 8S, which features LTE speed at a smart price. Super slim and light, this 4G entry-level tablet adds a splash of colour with its accessories and is perfect for streaming music, watching TV or browsing.

The POP 8S is the most competitive LTE 8-inch entry level tablet available to the mass market. At 7.9mm thin and weighing only 309 grams it is ideal for carrying in any backpack, satchel or handbag. Powered by a quadcore processor, the POP 8S allows seamless multitasking between gaming, streaming music or browsing. It comes equipped with a 5 Mpxl rear camera (EU) or 3 Mpxl rear camera (LATAM & US) to capture priceless moments on the go.
