Alcatel OneTouch Conquest hits Boost Mobile, Elevate coming in August
Alcatel OneTouch brings two new affordable smartphones to Sprint subsidiary Boost Mobile, with one of them offering protection from both water and dust for less than $130 USD. Rugged handset Alcatel OneTouch Conquest is already available for purchase at a price of just $129.99 USD while the even cheaper Elevate will hit Boost Mobile next month for $99.99 USD.
The IP67-certified Conquest smartphone has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor next to 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, 5-inch HD IPS multitouch display protected by Dragontrail glass, 2 MP and 5 MP image snappers on the front and back, the usual connectivity features (WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE), and comes loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The low-end Elevate is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with four cores, a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, same camera specs as its larger sibling but comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Despite its lower price tag, it packs LTE connectivity, but lacks protection from the elements.
To perfectly match such affordable handsets, Boost Mobile offers a $30 USD data plan that packs unlimited talk and text, as well as 2 GB of high-speed 3G/4G data. More details can be found in the news article published by Danielle Babbington on Sprint's newsroom.
