Acer already announced their Olympic-themed Iconia Tab A510 and A700 earlier this month, but no pricing info was made available. Thankfully, you don't have to wait too long to fork over your cash, as the Taiwanese manufacturer has now released the A510 for pre-ordering.
The A510 is Acer’s first quad-core Tegra 3 tablet, and comes with a 10.1” display with a 1280x800 pixel resolution. The device features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of Flash storage. In addition, Acer has preloaded the tablet with a variety of apps, including the Polaris office suite and Acer’s Ring interface which allows for the quick-launching of favorite apps.
Just like most other tablets, Acer’s A510 is equipped with HDMI, a 5MP rear-facing camera, a 1MP front-facing camera but can last up to 12 hours thanks to a “Battery Saver Core” that takes over for the other 4-cores during everyday tasks. The A510 is currently available for pre-ordering in the US and Canada for $449; however, there is no word on when it will actually ship.
