Acer Iconia Tab A100 delayed

Teaser
7" tablet delayed by Acer till H2 of 2011

If you’ve been anxiously waiting for Acer’s A100 tablet, then you might have to hang on for a while longer. According to multiple reports, the 7” tablet has been delayed by Acer and will not be launching until later this year.

Originally, the folks over at tabletowo.pl noticed the Tab A100 was absent from the Acer.com lineup, and were subsequently informed that the tablet had been withdrawn from production. Thankfully that doesn’t appear to be the case, as Acer has informed Slashgear that the device is still in the works but won’t be hitting shelves till the second half of this year.

Originally slated for a May 14th launch, the 7” tablet comes with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, Wi-Fi, HDMI, a pair of cameras and a very appealing price tag of only £299.99 ($428 USD). While the delay is unfortunate and the H2 date is extremely vague, it's definitely a relief to know the tablet will still make its way to the market eventually.
