My one gripe is the lack of immediacy once you click or touch an icon you get the chance think it has not worked before things start to occur. However for a notebook/tablet it’s a good price.

The Acer Aspire R11 makes a decent little low-cost, portable laptop with a fanless design, and it offers performance that’s a little better than most systems you would have been able to find a year ago in this price range. The Pentium N3700 Braswell chip offers a bit of a performance boost over the Bay Trail chips it replaces, and the notebook offers decent battery life, fast WiFi connection speeds.

The Acer Aspire R11 multi-form laptop benefits from being that bit bigger than something like the older Acer Switch 10. It's much more comfortable to use for a good few hours of typing, browsing, or whatever needs doing. But despite this, Acer has really dropped the ball with the screen. The R11's poor viewing angles feel entirely mis-matched for a product designed with a 360-degree hinge.

The Aspire R11 is overall a great machine for the little money you'd be paying for it. It offers speedy Braswell hardware and long battery life in a sturdy built shell. It's also a 2-in-1. And yes, corners were cut with the panel or keyboard quality, among others, but for $249 you won't find a better similar device right now.

Model: The Acer Aspire R3-131T is a wallet friendly laptop with features found on higher end models. The build quality is impressive with a black interior wrapped inside a beautifully textured blue shell. The top cover is simple and playful and the Acer Aspire R3-131T comes with a tile-style keyboard and a large touchpad. A strong selling point of the design is its screen positioning angle. The 11.6 inch HD Active Matrix TFT LCD display is able to flip passed 180 degree. This allows the laptop to function as a tablet on a stand for easy touch screen navigation.

The Windows 8.1 system comes with an Intel Celeron N3050 dual-core processor clocked at 1.60 GHz, a maximum of 8 GB DDR3L SDRAM, an Intel HD Graphics GPU and 32 GB SSD storage. Other features on the device consist of a webcam, a HDMI out, two USB ports and a card reader. With a weight of 1.58 kg, the Acer Aspire R3-131T is a perfect on-the-go companion for users look to carry a standard laptop form factor instead of a tablet. To complement the Acer Aspire R3-131T’s portability, Acer has included a 4-cell Lithium Polymer battery rated at 3270 mAh for superb battery life.

Intel HD Graphics (Braswell): Integrated graphics card in the Intel Braswell series (Celeron and Pentium) processors. Based on the Broadwell architecture (Intel Gen8) supporting DirectX 11.2. Depending on the processor offers 12 or 16 shader cores (EU) and different clock speed.
