Affordable versatile performer. Acer uses mainly on components from AMD in the Aspire 7560G. A quad core Fusion processor and two graphics chips in CrossFire mode are available in only few devices. And best of all: The interesting hardware combination only costs €600. Is it an alternative to the established Intel/Nvidia notebooks?

Its product lineup includes desktops and laptops, as well as personal digital assistants (PDAs), servers and storage, displays, peripherals, and e-business services for business, government, education, and home users. Acer is the third largest computer manufacturer in the world (by sales) after HP and Dell Inc (2007). The company owns the largest franchised computer retail chain in Taipei, Taiwan. Originally named Multitech, it was founded in 1976. Gateway and Packard Bell are economically connected with Acer. Market share regarding sales of personal computers in 2007 (market research IDC): HP 18.9 %, Dell 16.4 %, Acer 9.9 %, Lenovo 7.5 %, Apple 5.7 %
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

17.3: Meanwhile the 17 inch display size is a more frequently offered standard format for desktop-replacements. The DTR-laptops can't be carried easily, need much energy but on the other side texts can be read easily and high resolutions are no problem. DTR mainly are intended for stationary usage on desks, where the weight and the energy need are unimportant.
