Acer’s Aspire TimelineX 5830TG is priced at Rs. 42,229. The only drawback of worthy mention was the build quality. It comes with all the features you’d require in your notebook – good looks, performance and more so, at an interesting price. As compared to the Inspiron 15R, this one definitely packs more of a punch.

Overall, the Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6614 comes within a whisker of unseating the Asus U56E-BBL6 as our budget laptop Editors' Choice, the latter clinging to its title by dint of its lower price and removable battery. But if you're looking for an affordable desktop replacement that won't fold when you fire up a few games, the Acer is a strong candidate.

Like its predecessor, the $779 Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6614 is a reasonably priced multimedia machine. The 15.6-inch notebook offers more than enough power to play high-end games and plow through other computing tasks. However, the display is not as bright as we'd like, and we're not keen on the undersized mouse buttons. Overall, though, the Aspire TimelineX 5830TG-6614 is a very good choice for consumers searching for an entertainment PC.

15.6: 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks. 15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays. However nowadays, more and more 16:9 displays with 15.6 inch appear. The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much energy and the laptops can be kept quite compact.
