94% AMAZING DEAL

Pros: powerful, well balanced, extremely well-priced; Cons: heats up rather quickly under certain conditions (very understandably); Its an incredible powerhouse, this laptop packs a punch and puts a smaller dent in your wallet than you might expect. There is a bit of bloatware bundled with the laptop but with the system's specs it hardly makes a difference in most everyday and in all but the most strenuous gaming applications.

For the following disadvantages...1) Heat: There is a lot of heat generated, u can feel the same when you use the keypad, and the touch pad.. 2) I was unable to configure the wireless internet with Wanadoo, somehow, it says unable to configure, after trying all the combinations, giving me a feeling that the wireless card is not working.. 3) This may be the disadv of Dual Processer: Whenever a high memory usage task is goingon, the task manager shows only one processer takign the load, while the other is silent, giving the feeling that, it may not be a true dual processer. 4) Unable to close unwanted icons on the system tray.

Acer Duo Core Notebook

Strange no one wants a notebook reviewed in January but there is a glut in March! Here I am looking at Intel Centrino Duo processor in an Acer Aspire 5672 notebook. The notebook is 35x27x4cm and weights around 3kilos. I would probably say this was a desktop replacement as it most likely be too large for most to carry around regularly. It has a 15.4inch screen and the default resolution is 1280x800, there is a ATA Mobility Radeon X1400 graphics chip, the unit can support dual displays and there are both analogue and digital outputs. The screen surround is 25.5x35.5cm with the actual screen dimensions of 21x33cm.

Comment

ATI Mobility Radeon X1400: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 is part of the lower middle class. The performance can be compared with an elder X600, but technically it is a X1300, which is scarcely 100 Mhz higher clocked.

Lower end of Graphics Cards for users who want to play games. New games should run on these cards, but only with decreased details and mediocre resolution.

Intel Core Duo: Double Core processor with a very good relation of performance to current consumption. The 2 MB L2 Cache are used together by the double. The maximum capacity of 31 watts is only 4 watts more than with the Pentium M (predecessor). Both cores are lowered automatically and independently of each other by speed steps down to 1 GHz. In addition it now supports also SSE3 instructions. At least it is just as fast as a equivalent Pentium M. With applications, which were designed for multi-processors, the performance can be nearly twice as fast as with the Pentium M (e.g. CineBench around 86% fast)

T2300:

15.4": 15 inch display-variants are the standard and are used for more than the half of all notebooks.  15.4 inch display with 16:10 are the standard for notebook displays.
The reason why so many people like displays with medium size is, that this size is not exhausting for the eyes, does not need too much current and the laptops can be kept quite compact.
>> To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

3 kg: This weight is average for notebooks. Therefore the numerous mass of laptops with 15 inch display fits in this class of weight.

Acer: Acer is one of the international manufacturers with the most market shares worldwide and the most reviewed notebook models in the German and English speaking countries. Nevertheless only few of the models achieved top rankings according total ranking and price/value evaluation.

Acer reviews

77.88%: This rating is not convincing. It must be considered, that there exist hardly any laptops, which receive a rating below 60%. This notebook is evaluated below average, this is not really a recommendation for purchase.
