An AMD roadmap detailing the company's upcoming laptop processors has leaked. The roadmap highlights Rembrandt H, Rembrandt U, Barcelo U and Dragon Crest. Apparently, AMD has axed Van Gogh APUs.

A leaked AMD roadmap has thrown up some interesting points about the company's notebook processors between now and next year. The roadmap has divided AMD's 'notebook silicon' into four categories: Premium Form Factors, Mobile Workstation, Premium Ultrathin and Mainstream and Value. The roadmap looks legitimate, but AMD or its partners are unlikely to ever verify it. Hence, we would employ some scepticism when looking at its contents.

However, it provides enough details to be newsworthy, in our opinion. Apparently, we should expect AMD to release Rembrandt H, Rembrandt U and Barcelo U next year, along with Dragon Crest for 'Premium Form Factors'. As far as we can tell, Barcelo U is to Cezanne U as Lucienne U was to Renoir U. Correspondingly, Barcelo U will resemble Cezanne U in most respects, albeit with a few silicon changes to differentiate the two.

Meanwhile, the roadmap lists Rembrandt H and U as Zen 3+ architectures based on a 6 nm process. The TDPs for these H and U series APUs remain 15 W and 45 W though, as they are on the current Ryzen 5000 parts. We imagine that AMD will release HS APUs too, so we doubt that Rembrandt H will be exclusively 45 W. Rembrandt H and U will feature Navi 2 GPUs too, while providing support for LPDDR5 RAM and USB 4.

The roadmap also refers to Dragon Crest, a 2022-bound series with the same specifications as Van Gogh, which we reported on last month. @Broly_X1 claims that AMD has cancelled Van Gogh, which may explain the similarities between it and Dragon Crest. This is unconfirmed and unverified though, but we may be looking at an outdated roadmap for this year and next.

If the information shown below is correct, then we would expect AMD to announce its Rembrandt series at CES 2022. The annual event will run between January 5 and 8 2022 in Las Vegas.
