AMD Phenom II X2 P650
The AMD Phenom II Dual-Core Mobile P650 is a dual core processor for laptops that clocks with 2.8 GHz. Due to the missing level 3 cache, the architecture is similar to the desktop Athlon II X2 (Athlon II X2 240e - Regor). Compared to the similar Phenom II N620, the P650 is specified with a lower TDP of 25 versus 35 Watt.
The performance should be similar to a 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo (because of the larger Cache of the Core 2 series in this clock range). Compared to the current Intel Core-i processors, the Phenom II is only as fast as a Core i3-330M in synthetic benchmarks.
As a difference to the Core 2 series, the Phenom II offers an integrated DDR3 memory controller on the processor die.
