88% folks play with their tabs while watching TV, says Nielsen

Using a tablet while watching a TV has become a common for about 45 percent of the tablet users while 88% of them has used the tablet while watching TV at least once a month

Can we say that the tablet users are slowly reducing the use of other devices which were generally used in their daily life as the televisions? Or have the tablets taken away the focus of some important things towards it?

A research made by a group from Nielsen has found out that 88 percent of the tablet owners get distracted to their portable device or the tablet while watching television once a month. While 45 percent of them said that they do it daily. So we can say that the Tablet users are lacking interest slowly on their television sets.

26 percent of the users also said that they hardly watch television while they have their tablet by their side. Not only the tablets but the Smartphones are also contributing to the same. 86 percent of the Smartphone owners also said that they also check their Smartphones while watching the TV at least once a month.

However most of the users mentioned that while watching TV they generally checks for emails. So we can conclude by saying that they might not take the place of the Televisions in our lives but surely its importance has entered the lives of the people. Apart from that because of its different uses the users like to keep themselves updated with other important things as well.
