8 inch Visio tablet shows up on Walmart roadmap

Teaser
The new Visio tablet shows up on Walmart inventory list as well as a an internal schedule

Visio has a new 8”Android tablet planned for this quarter that was showed off during a Rose Bowl commercial just before this year’s CES. Since then, the tablet has found its place in a Walmart inventory list, and now Engadget reveals an internal schedule that says the tablet might arrive on June 26th.

The Visio tablet is supposed to have a VIA 1GHz processor. The Android version is not known yet, and looking at its suggested price bracket of about $349, it may not be the latest Honeycomb 3.1 or for that matter the upcoming 3.4 Icecream Sandwich.

Although the tablet will be competing against giants like Samsung, Blackberry and HP – it has its own set of unique features to interest you. There is enhanced audio planned through the SRS speakers, and the VIA Plus ecosystem will incorporate the VIA TV app for live streaming as well as provide support for a seamless integration with an upcoming Visio phone.
