34-inch Alienware quantum dot OLED monitor will cost you $1299 when it launches this Spring
The original 34-inch Alienware curved gaming monitor called the AW3418DW launched in 2017 with a WQHD IPS display (3440 x 1440), 120 Hz refresh rate, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Five years later, Dell has unveiled its successor called the AW3423DW that ups the ante in almost every conceivable way with its faster 175 Hz refresh rate, newer quantum dot OLED panel technology, deeper 99.3 percent DCI-P3 color reproduction, and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The monitor made headlines at CES 2022 as one of the first gaming monitors to merge quantum dot and OLED technologies onto a single display for "higher color uniformity, wider color coverage, and increased brightness" according to Dell.
Despite the impressive reveal, Dell wouldn't divulge any pricing or launch details regarding the AW3423DW until today where we now know it will launch sometime this Spring for $1299 USD. It's a hefty sum especially since Alienware products tend to be more expensive than the competition, but the fact that there are no other alternative 34-inch QD-OLED monitors out there at the moment means enthusiasts will be paying the premium regardless.
See the official specifications sheet below for the full rundown on what the Alienware 34-inch QD-OLED monitor will offer.
